Students with disabilities are more often than not steered toward vocational education, even though many students with disabilities would be very successful in the college prep/collegiate environment. It is our hope to help change that.

- Provide confidential assistance for students
- Ease family pressures during potentially stressful times of curriculum planning
- Personalize the information and the process to accommodate individual students' needs
- Provide structure to help student articulate goals and dreams
- Career planning
- Assist student with course selection during high school (appropriate HS prep curriculum)
- Offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends

- Assess student strengths and potential career paths (e.g., review test scores; recommend additional testing; discussion with student and family)
- Research choices and establish a list of appropriate options
- Research potential schools in depth (services, location, majors, living environment, transportation, extracurricular activities, access to instructors)
- Plan strategy for visits
- Advise student about test preparation and test choices
- Recommend testing schedules and preparation plans; assist with needed accommodations
- Schedule application completion time line (time and task management)
- Provide worksheet comparing features of selected colleges
- Attend IEP meetings and/or meetings with guidance counselor; other meetings as appropriate
